The Research and Evaluation Manager will lead initiatives in research, statistics, and evaluation to support evidence-based decision-making and policy development. This role demands a strong foundation in research methods and evaluation, with an emphasis on applying advanced statistical analysis to assess project effectiveness and impacts. The manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing research projects from inception through to reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
Strategic Research Leadership:
- Develop and refine research agendas that align with strategic priorities, utilizing economic theories and statistical methods.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to research teams, fostering an environment conducive to high-quality research and analysis.
Research Methodology and Evaluation:
- Design and implement robust research methodologies and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of projects and policies.
- Conduct complex data analysis using advanced statistical techniques to inform policy and project improvements.
Project Management and Coordination:
- Oversee research projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including Executive Leadership Team, to ensure research objectives are met and findings are actionable.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:
- Establish and implement frameworks to assess project effectiveness, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Document project learnings and outcomes to guide future research and development efforts.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze statistical data, translating findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting project progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Prepare regular progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Client Engagement and Advisory Services:
- Provide expert advice to clients, identifying opportunities for improvement in research and evaluation processes and practices.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction with delivered services.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to ethical standards, relevant laws, and industry regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices, and contributing to the development of standardized project management methodologies.
- Solicit feedback from clients and team members to continuously improve project management processes and client satisfaction.
- Conduct post-project reviews to analyze project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and incorporate lessons learned into future projects.
Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Program Evaluation or a related field with a strong emphasis on research methods and evaluation.
Extensive experience (5+ years) in research and evaluation, with a proven track record of managing research projects and teams.
