He holds ACCA membership — recognized by UK ENIC as equivalent to a UK Master’s degree — and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, in addition to a Bachelor of Economics from Kabul University.
As Head of Finance and Administration at Adroit Associates, Abdul Basit leads the full finance function: corporate budgeting, IFRS-compliant financial reporting, treasury and multi-currency cash flow, internal controls, and project-level cost management across headquarters and field operations. He designs and implements finance manuals and SOPs that underpin audit readiness and operational discipline, and oversees procurement controls, subcontractor financial oversight, and invoice verification across the firm’s portfolio of consulting and research engagements. He also develops financial proposals and detailed cost build-ups for competitive bids, directly contributing to business development outcomes.
Abdul Basit brings additional depth from his earlier experience as an auditor at Crowe Horwath Afghanistan, where he executed financial and compliance audits for NGOs, banks, and private sector entities under IFRS and ISA. He is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has successfully implemented ERP systems for multiple clients. He also serves as a Senior ACCA Tutor, demonstrating command of international accounting standards at an instructional level. Fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto, he brings strong analytical capability and a rigorous, standards-driven approach to every aspect of financial leadership.
