    Qosh Tepa Irrigation Scheme and Power Generation Feasibility Studies

    From 2018 to 2021, Adroit implemented USAID’s largest technical feasibility study in Afghanistan, working with several ministries within the then government of Afghanistan to assess the feasibility and viability of a multi-billion dollar irrigation and hydropower project — the Qosh Tepa Irrigation Project — which, if implemented, will provide millions with access to water and power resources, thus transforming Afghanistan’s economy.

Surveying over 150,000 households, we played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of both emergency and non-emergency aid, safeguarding its effectiveness from selection to outcome.

    Final Evaluation of the Goldsmith Vocational Training Project

    Adroit Associates conducted an independent final evaluation of the Goldsmith Vocational Training Project implemented by Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in Afghanistan. The evaluation assessed the project’s relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability in improving vocational skills, income generation, and economic resilience among beneficiaries.The study generated evidence on how targeted vocational training, combined with practical skill development and market-oriented approaches, contributed to enhanced livelihood opportunities and long-term economic empowerment.

    Final Evaluation of the ACTED Climate Resilience and Livelihoods Project

    for Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development

    Adroit Associates conducted a comprehensive Labour Market Assessment (LMA) alongside a Curricula Review and Revision for ACTED under an EU-funded initiative focused on youth employment and skills development in Afghanistan.The assignment examined labour market dynamics, employment barriers, and skills gaps across eight provinces, while also evaluating the relevance and effectiveness of existing technical and vocational education and training (TVET) curricula. The study provided evidence to align training programs with real market demand, ensuring that youth acquire practical, employable skills.
