Qosh Tepa Irrigation Scheme and Power Generation Feasibility Studies
for DT Global and USAID
From 2018 to 2021, Adroit implemented USAID’s largest technical feasibility study in Afghanistan, working with several ministries within the then government of Afghanistan to assess the feasibility and viability of a multi-billion dollar irrigation and hydropower project — the Qosh Tepa Irrigation Project — which, if implemented, will provide millions with access to water and power resources, thus transforming Afghanistan’s economy.

Endline Evaluation of the Anticipatory Humanitarian Action (AHA) / PACIDA Project
Adroit Associates conducted an independent final evaluation of the Anticipatory Humanitarian Action (AHA) project implemented by PACIDA in partnership with Caritas Germany and funded by GFFO. The evaluation assessed the project’s relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency across climate-affected regions of Kenya and Ethiopia, with a strong focus on anticipatory humanitarian action approaches.The study generated robust, evidence-based insights on how early warning–triggered interventions, integrated with livelihood recovery, WASH, and protection programming, contributed to improved well-being, reduced vulnerability, and strengthened resilience among disaster-affected communities.

Infrastructure, Environment & Climate Advisory Training Series on ESIA, SWM, and Water System Impacts
Adroit Associates designed and delivered a specialized Infrastructure, Environment & Climate Advisory Training Series to strengthen the technical capacity of professionals working across infrastructure, water, environmental, and climate-sensitive sectors. The initiative focused on building practical competencies in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Solid Waste Management (SWM), climate adaptation technologies, and the impacts of climate change on environmental and water systems.
